Hi there, my name is Jeff Arthur, with the Values Conversation, here to talk about the great I Am. One of the most incredible and wonderful stories in the bible is Moses, and how God came to him out in the middle of the desert, and manifested himself in a bush that was burning, and yet did not burn up.
As they’re having this discussion, as is recorded in Exodus, we’re told about how Moses is trying to come up with excuses about why you shouldn’t go, and how he can’t go to Egypt, and how he can’t do what God’s asking him to do. He finally comes up with the excuse of, “Who am I supposed to tell them sent me?” God’s answer is one of the most incredible answers ever, he says, “You tell them, I Am that I Am sent you.” Simply, I Am. The great, I Am.
What’s also fascinating, is that while God identifies that he is overall, and the great I Am, if you fast forward several thousand years, Jesus Christ is on Earth, in the flesh, and he’s about to go to the crucifixion, and he’s talking to his disciples, and they’re saying, “We don’t know what you’re doing, we don’t know what’s going on.” Jesus Christ says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” Amazing how father and son identify both. I Am that I Am. John 14 verse seven, the way the truth, and your life, all through Christ, and the great I Am. My name is Jeff Arthur with the Values Conversation.
