Hi there, my name is Jeff Arthur with the Values Conversation. Here today talking about the opposition that there’s always been against what God is trying to do. I’ve always found this interesting, no matter what happens as I’ve observed personally in the ministry you try to do the right thing, you try to move people, a church, a situation more toward God and there’s always problems, there’s always misunderstandings, there’s always opposition, there’s always whatever because that’s what happens with the spiritual enemy fighting against us.
What I’ve always found interesting is that whenever you read in the New Testament you see this opposition manifesting itself into so many different ways that of course is still happening today. I want to encourage you, there’s a couple of books towards the end of the New Testament that are really interesting. First and second John written by the same guy who wrote the Gospel of John. He wrote this letter, these two letters, to Christians to encourage them to stay true to what the Bible taught because they were being taught by people who had come into the church to cause problems that Jesus never actually came to earth as a man. He had just been spirit form, that He didn’t actually suffer and die like these crazy apostles were talking about. That what they’d been taught really wasn’t the truth and those teachers were infiltrating big enough and bad enough and well enough to cause major problems in the church.
Our spiritual enemy is always opposing the work. Be prepared. My name is Jeff Arthur with the Values Conversation. You can find out more about us online at tvcleadership.com.
