Hi there. I’m Jeff Arthur, with The Values Conversation, here to talk to us about a guy in the Bible by the name of Nicodemus. Now Nicodemus was one of those guys, that he’s in the Bible, but a lot of times, you don’t really think about him, but he played a very significant part. In John, chapter 3, we’re told about how Nicodemus comes to Jesus at night to ask questions. Now Nicodemus was a spiritual leader of the day, but he was confused. He really wasn’t understanding who Jesus was, and he came to seek Jesus out. It was to Nicodemus that Jesus gives those great, immortal words of John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son.”

Nicodemus was the guy that received that for the very first time, but then after that night, we never hear a thing about Nicodemus again, until after Jesus dies, and Nicodemus comes to help with taking care of the body. Nicodemus wanted to serve Jesus. He was looking to serve Jesus, but he came at night, so nobody would know. Here’s the thing I want you to understand. Whether we come quietly at night, or whether we come full force, full face, full fledged during the day, seeking Jesus is still the thing to do.

Jesus didn’t turn away Nicodemus. Jesus won’t turn away you, me, or anybody else. Even though it took Nicodemus a while to come to the conclusion that Jesus was the Way, the Truth, and the Life, he got there, just like you and I can. My name is Jeff Arthur with the Values Conversation. You can find out more about us online at tvcleadership.com.
