Hi there, my mine is Jeff Arthur with the Values Conversation. I’m talking about spiritual growth today and truth. I don’t know if you noticed it or not, but in our society things have changed from whenever our grandparents were around. Then we can talk about why, whatever, the politics and etcetera etcetera, but when it comes right down to it, one way or the other, the vast majority of people have started to believe that truth is relative. Unfortunately, for people who think like that, it’s not.

There is truth. There is lie. There is right. There is wrong. It’s not relative, but What is interesting is in the Bible we actually have Jesus speaking in John, chapter 14, when he is talking to his disciples right before he goes into the crucifixion and he tells them, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.” It is incredible that he identifies himself as living truth. There is right. There is wrong. There is lie. There is truth. It is not relative and it is not dependent on how you or I feel about it. It is dependent upon the will of God and the direction he has set. Jesus Christ is the truth.
