Hi there. I’m Jeff Arthur with The Values Conversation. I don’t know if you’ve ever thought about it before, but there are four books in the New Testament that give us the timeline and the actions of Jesus Christ over the three year ministry of his life. They were all written by different people, all written to different audiences, therefore, they all cover different things. Although, they still all come together, support one another, and you see how they are able to be intertwined.
One of those books that is so amazing, one of those gospels, is the Gospel of Mark. I want to encourage you to read it sometime. The reason I’m taking you to Mark is because number one, it’s the shortest of the gospels so it won’t take that long. There’s not as many chapters. Mark is fun because historically we understand that it was written by a gentleman by the name of John Mark. He knew Jesus and he traveled with Paul. In fact, he was the reason for a fight, but he also was the one who wrote this letter that was dictated by the apostle Peter. Mark is a fast-paced book. From the Greek, the word euthus is used more in Mark than anywhere else and that means “immediately”. Going on, moving on, moving on, moving on. Read the book of Mark, enjoy the book of Mark, and see how the life of Jesus impacts yours.
