Hi, there, I’m Jeff Arthur with the Values Conversation. Several years ago, I preached a revival for a great friend, an old mentor of mine who is a cowboy preacher named Keith. At that revival, there were several people that came up one night and came forward to pray and talked to people about where they’re at in their spiritual walk. One lady in particular was really struggling with stuff and she stayed long. Keith did something that I’ve never seen before or since, he just waited. The room was filled and Keith just stood there in front of everybody while this woman talked to somebody. Everybody was getting restless and rustling around and whatever and Keith didn’t even acknowledge the other people in the room. He just waited for her.

When it was all said and done, she finally was taken out of the room and working through whatever and as people were standing there, they had this look on their face of what’s going on. Keith just simply looked at the crowd and he said, “You know, when we go to a ball game and it goes into extra innings, we get excited. When we go to the hockey game and it goes into sudden death overtime, we get excited. If we’re going to go long because someone needed the Lord tonight, I think you’d better be excited. Amen, Keith, amen.
