Hi there, my name is Jeff Arthur with the Values Conversation. Here to talk today about how we compare ourselves to everybody else. It’s an amazing thing. We non-stop always are comparing ourselves or something about ourselves to somebody else. Our children, our marriage, our looks, our health, our waistline, our perceived bank accounts, our jobs, who’s climbing the ladder quicker or faster or stronger. We’re always comparing. It’s amazing. What’s really interesting to me as a coach, is that whenever we compare ourselves to people, we always in our mind and our comparison, we’re the ones that come up short. We don’t ever compare ourselves to people where we go, “Well, I’m better off than them.” No, we’re always compare ourselves to people and say, “Well, I’m not good enough. We’ll I’m not pretty enough. Well, I’m not smart enough. Well, I’m not … Whatever, my kids aren’t whatever. My husband isn’t. My wife isn’t.”

We’re always comparing ourselves where we somehow are failing. I want to encourage you today to understand. No one. No one. No one has walked the planet that has anything like you. Your journey is unique to you. No one has ever went through what you have went through. There may be other people have gotten done similar, but no one has the exact background, the exact journey, the exact influencers, the exact situations that you’ve faced, positive and negative. It’s your journey. There’s no comparison. My name is Jeff Arthur with the Values Conversation. I encourage you to find us on Facebook at facebook.com/thevaluesconversation.
