Hi, there. I’m Jeff Arthur with The Values Conversation. I don’t know if you’re like me but I suspect you probably are but I have an extraordinary, incredible, unbelievable ability to be able to remember the things I’ve screwed up in my life, at least thirty years ago.

What’s fascinating to me is that my ability to do this is so good, I can have that coming to my mind with no prompting. I can be driving down the road and start thinking about the person that I destroyed twenty five years ago because I was too stupid to realize what I was saying and then find out later that I destroyed him. I didn’t realize how I was coming across. I thought I was doing the right thing and it was the wrong thing and I toy him up.

I can be sitting in a meal, I can be driving down the road, I can be in a conversation with somebody else and this person pop into my head or this situation pop into my head and I remember, holy cow, I destroyed him. I toyed them up and then I start doubting, where I’m at now.

Oh my gosh, what if I make a mistake again? Oh my gosh, what if these people are destroyed by me? Oh my gosh, I need to pull away. Shut down. Be quiet. Not engage. I need to call back because it’s the best thing for them, but it’s never the best thing. I want to encourage you then, stay engaged. Recognize that we all can fall into the pattern of the negativity, fight back and remember that you have great value.

My name is Jeff Arthur with The Values Conservative. You can find us on Facebook at facebook.com/thevaluesconversation.
