Hi there. I’m Jeff Arthur with The Values Conversation. I want to talk to you today about something that may sound a little crazy and you may sit there and go “Oh my gosh, Jeff, I do not have time for this,” but the benefits and repercussions on a positive level for you are almost innumerable. I want to encourage you as a leader, as an executive, as an owner, as a vice president, whatever that is, to find somebody in your industry, to find somebody that you like, that you connect with, and take the time to teach them things that you know. I heard this 30 years ago and I have found it to be true a thousand times between that day and today.

Whenever we begin to teach things, it forces us to know our stuff as good or better than we will ever know it, because if I have to teach you or show you or explain it to you then I’m going to know the subject matter inside and out. I’m going to understand not just the why but the how, and that’s where it really becomes interesting and fun. Take the time to find somebody that you know, that you connect with, that wants to learn, that is wanting to grow, and take the time to teach them because while it will be helping them, and it’s so important to do that, it’s also going to be helping you as well. My name is Jeff Arthur with The Values Conversation. You can find out more about us online at our website at tvcleadership.com.
