Hi there my name is Jeff Arthur with the values conversation. Here today to encourage you as a business owner, as a leader, as a president, executive, whatever it is in your company. Wherever you’re at; to engage with people that are your peers in the industry that you’re working in.
It is so important to have that peer support group around yo because what happens is that whenever we get into trenches and we get so focused on this stuff in front of us; and whenever we start making mistakes we begin to isolate ourselves. We begin to pull away almost instinctively not even realizing it.
When whenever we’re in a peer group and they know that we’re dealing with stuff, we can find people who will actually support us. Who can actually pull stuff out. Pull us back in where we reengage and start to learn and understand what’s happening. To have that peer support group is so important. To simply know “I am not alone out here.” “Oh wait, they made the same mistake I made, holy cow! I’m not nearly as crazy as I thought I was.”
This peer support group can be so important because you’re sharing things and dealing with it. Nobody else understands. Nobody else has been there. Nobody else really understands how bad this can be; but the two of you or the three of you do.
