Hi there, my name is Jeff Arthur with The Values Conversation, here to talk to you today about taking care of opportunity. What do I mean by that? Every one of our associates that work with us, they want to have an opportunity to make a difference. Everybody wants the opportunity to, you know, stand out. Not just personally, but what they do, stand out. That the company they are with stands out. That the company that they’re working in makes a difference somehow. We see it over and over and over again from sports teams to political view points to rallies to whatever else. People want to be involved with something bigger than ourselves, and whenever we recognize that whenever our people have the people to advance and to make a difference in the company you’re working in, the company that you’re leading in, people are going to try that much harder. Why try? Why apply? Why do all this work and effort if there’s no hope of me ever making a difference? If there’s no hope of me ever helping something or somebody, or what we do actually being applied to advance something or somebody else.
I’m not talking about people just advancing in their career. I’m talking about people looking for opportunities to make a bigger difference. I asked you a couple weeks ago, bring me back to what’s the vision of your company and are people buying into it?
