Hi, there. I’m Jeff Arthur with, The Values Conversation, here to talk to you today about something that I think that a lot of us do as leaders, but I want to encourage you, even more to recognize it and expand on it. If you’re not doing this … to please, please, please start up with this. Find a mentor. There are so many things that we, as business owners understand. There are so many things that we, as business owners do not understand. One of the things that we can do for our own sake, and for the sake of our company is to find somebody who has been there and down that, and is willing to help us and work with us, and help us develop to become more. Find somebody you trust.
Find somebody who’s been through the war, that’s been in the trenches, that have been fighting the fight that you’re fighting, and has learned some tricks of the trade. It will diminish and reduce the amount of mistakes you’ll make, but, on the same time, whenever you hit a wall, or you’re struggling with something you’ll know you’ll have this person, or these people to go back to, to talk to. In my own, personal life, I have multiple mentors for different areas of my life. I don’t always look for one person. I have several people in different aspects that I go to for answers and help, and, I encourage you to do the exact same thing. My name is Jeff Arthur with The Values Conversation. You can find out more about us on LinkedIn, by searching for me, Jeff Arthur … last name spelled A-R-T-H-U-R.
