Hi there, my name is Jeff Arthur with the Values Conversation. Let me tell you something we all know about. We serve an omnipotent God. We serve a God who has created the universes. Who has done incredible, extraordinary, unbelievable things that we are incapable of even comprehending what all he has done, and yet there is a limitation that God has. It is one he put on himself. It’s talked about multiple times in multiple ways in multiple people, but I want to read to you Jeremiah, Chapter 31, the end of Verse 34. He says, “I will forgive their wickedness and I will remember their sins no more.” We serve a God who has a bad memory and it’s because that’s the way he wants it. It is so important to understand that while we will remember our mistakes and failures and sins, our loving, just perfect God on purpose does not. That was the purpose of Jesus Christ. So that he would remember our sins no more. They would be taken away. We have a loving God who on purpose makes sure that salvation is offered and that he doesn’t remember all the things that we did wrong.
