Hi there, my name is Jeff Arthur with The Values Conversation, here today to talk about not giving up. Now, we talked last week about the same thing we’re going to talk about this week and the upcoming weeks, but about a particular situation I knew about a person who got themselves in a very bad business situation, a very bad personal situation in their life. Didn’t tell anybody, wound up losing everything. What I want to talk to you about to you today is about quitting. What happened with her is that she did not get input. She did not get evaluations. She did not get help. She did not get other’s input, and what happened was that she wound up losing everything and holding the bag. But what happened next was that she literally gave up. Gave up on herself, on life, on potential, on possibilities, on new things that were coming down the road that she could have gotten involved with. No way.

There’s a reason why Winston Churchill is famous for saying in a speech, “Never, never, never, never give up.” There’s a reason why we all love Rocky. There’s a reason why Sylvester Stallone is a multi-bazillionaire, because we all love the Rocky movies. Why? Because he would never stay down. He kept getting up. There’s a part of us that love that, “I’m never gonna stop fighting,” and I’ve actually talked about that in videos ahead of this or before this. It’s so important to understand we’re all going to get hit. We’re all going to make mistakes. We’re all going to do stupid stuff. We’re all going fall flat on our face. That’s life. But am I going to get up and try again? Don’t quit. The one person that you never, ever, ever quit on is you.
