Hi there, my name is Jeff Arthur with the Values Conversation. I suspect that you’re just like I am. There are about 6 million things that I’m not very good at. If you want me to work on your car, it’s a bad deal. You want me to build you a house, you want me to build you a bookshelf, you want me to build you anything, it’s a bad deal. You want me to bake a cake and ice it perfectly, that’s not so good. The list goes on and on and on. There are many things I’m not good at. In fact, most things I’m not good at, but there are 3 important things that I’m really good at, and there’s 1 or 2 things that I’m exceptional at.

I suspect you’re just like me. There’s a lot of weaknesses, a lot of strengths, 2 or 3 things that you’re really good at. So many times in life we get so focused on the weaknesses that we forget the strengths. So many times we’re reminded daily of how I can’t do that right, or people didn’t like the way I did what I did, or they didn’t accept what I tried to do, or they pushed back on whatever, and I start thinking I’m not good enough, and I start thinking about all the negative, and I start thinking about all the weaknesses, and I should focus on that, and I should get stronger. Maybe so, but a lot of times, where we focus on our strengths, and we make what we’re good at even better, things really start to pop for us, and they can start lining up for us very easily. We all have weaknesses. That’s okay. Focus on the strengths and become even more.
